Weaves the Web: Poem by Jamie Sams
Gossamer threads of life hold me,
Perched between Earth and Sky,
Weaving the Web, dreaming the dream,
Through the two worlds I will fly.
With you as my muse, Mother,
I create the substance of dreams,
Allowing the artist within me
To fashion my life with esteem.
I mold the clay of experiences
Into a sacred Medicine Bowl,
Capturing the essence of living
As it sings deep in my soul.
Your secrets of Creation, Mother,
Have taught me when to destroy
The chains that have bound me,
Limiting the expression of my joy.
You have taught me how to labor,
Giving birth to the visions within,
Setting them free like silver arrows,
Kindling the fire of Creation again.
Weaves the Web encourages us to discover our inner creative source where we can guard and take responsibility for our sacred sexual-creative Life-Force. This Life-Force is the most sacred energy in Creation. She guides us to love and channel this Force with wisdom and care and without deceit, abuse, or harm.
Weaves the Web teaches us how to access our creative/birthing power to bring forth art and manifest our dreams.
How to Work with Truth (Weaves the Web):
This October, you can consciously commune with Weaves the Web as an archetypal ally and ask for her guidance, support, and wisdom. Consider the ways you can:
Connect with the Spirit of the Muse/Inspiration
Guard your sexual energy with more integrity
Form a relationship with your Creative Power
Honor your Womb (if you have a physical womb)
Birth your dreams/creative desires
Connect to your Primal Impulse and Survival Instinct via the felt sense and heal your nervous system
Understand the Creative/Destructive Forces as a figure 8 and hold sacred awareness here: We cannot create without coming to peace with destruction.
Invitation: Ideas and Suggestions
You can keep a journal exploring the above themes and focus your efforts on realizing your creative potential.

About The 13 Original Clan Mothers: Your Sacred Path to Discovering the Gifts, Talents, & Abilities of the Feminine through the Ancient Teachings of the Sisterhood
About The 13 Original Clan Mothers: The 13 Original Clan Mothers is a book written by Jamie Sams (1951-2020), a Native American Holy Woman of Cherokee and Seneca descent. The 13 Original Clan Mothers teaches the Feminine indigenous wisdom passed down orally from generation to generation by Kiowa mothers, whom Jamie Sams worked closely with. It was Jamie Sams intent that this wisdom be passed down to all women of the Planetary Family, no matter their race or creed. She wrote The 13 Original Clan Mothers with the hopes that this book would support planetary healing and help to maintain the integrity of the next 7 generations. In honor of Jamie Sams and The 13 Original Clan Mothers tradition, I share the Clan Mother that rules each of the 13 moons as we move through the Lunar year.
